View Full Version : How to add an extra "open with" button in the toolbar?

Hello,

I'd like to use pathfinder as my music browser, specially in columns view.
For that, I'd like to have some sort of "open with toolplayer" or "open with cog" that would always be available in the contextual menu, or in the toolbar. Right now I have to navigate through the menus to find the application I want in "applications" or "running".

Anyway to add toolplayer or cog or toolplayer as "permanent" applications in the menu? (maybe with applescript?)

in the "open with" menu, it should show the apps which can open your song's file format (ogg, mp3...) on the root level, so you don't have to access the "applications" or "running" submenus.
also, if you associate your music files to toolplayer, for example, you can just double click on the song to play it.

btw, check vox (http://www.voxapp.net/), toolplayer's successor by the same developer.

didn't know about vox, thanks!

My problem is not with individuals .mp3 files, but it's when I want to load a folder in cog (or vox now).

But i just noticed that vox load the whole folder when you add a single track, it will do the trick =)
