Ok, this is a bit of a stretch since PathFinder meets my needs almost completely, but sometimes a quick one-click navigation like FinderPop is pretty convenient. I was wondering if there was any chance PathFinder could be made to integrate with this little system extension.
By the way, v4.5 is VERY nice.

Can you be more specific - what exactly is "one click navigation"?

By one click navigation I am referring to the pop up menu provided by FinderPop (www.finderpop.com). With FinderPop you can control-click on a folder and get a pop up folder of the contents. You can navigate to a point arbitrarily deep. When releasing the mouse on a folder, FinderPop shows the folder in a new Finder window. It would be nice if it could be made to open a PathFinder window or a new tab in a current PathFinder window. The content menu can also be accessed by clicking in a blank area of the menu bar.
This utility has a long and well regarded history beginning in the Classic Mac OS era. The new version for Mac OS X works quite well with the giant shortcoming of not being integrated with PathFinder. I have also written to Turlough O'Connner, FinderPop's author, about this. FinderPop's menu bar function is available in other applications, e.g. PathFinder, but the action is passed to the Finder. I suspect that it wouldn't be hard for FinderPop to be modified to accommodate PathFinder, since MoRU, LaunchBar and other utilities have managed it.

This feature is already available. But maybe not by default.
In PF's Contextual Menu Preferences, look for "Contents" in the Commands column and add it to the contextual menu.
Then, when you'll invoke the CM on a folder, the Contents submenu will show its contents, let you navigate in it, open documents or applications, and open folders in the current window or in a new tab.

Well, will you look at that! I don't know how I missed it. Thanks.

I used FinderPop for a while before switching to Path Finder and its "one-click" navigation is the only feature I still miss.
I know, Path Finder can show a folder's content in a submenu of the contextual menu, but FinderPop can do it better: if you have properly set its preferences, when you keep the left mouse button pressed for some (customizable) time over a folder it pops up a contextual menu that directly lists the content of that folder ... much more immediate and accessible.
A new preference in Path Finder (and the underlying new code :)) could allow us do this with a simple central-click of the mouse, or with a [Ctrl]-click ... I hope.
