My "normal" view is by column, however I wish to view a particular folder in list view only. Is it possible to set up this unquie request in pathfinder.
Thanks for any responses.

PS I know i'm pushing my luck, however sorted by date order in list view would even be better!!!

At the moment PF won't remember your favorite view for a given folder, unless you keep it open (for example in a tab). If the window that contains that tab is open when you quit PF, it will open it again the next time you launch it, and each tab will remember the view you chose (including the sort order).

FWIW, this "missing feature" is one of the VERY few difficulties I'm having with PF, which is otherwise an incredibly feature-packed improvement over "Just Finder." But, as long as it actually took for me to TRULY, REALLY understand how to set up Finder folders so their View would "stick" (um ... most of the time  ), it is a real preference for me. Again, FWIW ...
My 2¢,

...and while you're at it, please let each window have it's own icon size setting, thanks.
Oh - and I'd really like to have a way to organise files spatially (as per the desktop).

Has this feature been integrated into PF now?
I can't believe it doesn't exist in the finder yet

I too would love for PF to optionally remember view settings on a per-folder basis in column view.
Right now, the Show View Option inspector can only affect All Windows. It would be great if these defaults could be overriden for the current folder.
