Well, we're getting closer to having a universal binary of Path Finder ready. There are still some small kinks to work out, but hopefully it shouldn't be too far off now.
We need to find some brave beta testers who own one of the new Intel machines who would be willing to help us kick the tires and make sure that everything is working properly.
There are some important considerations:
1. At this point, we're looking for people with Intel Mac machines only.
2. You must be willing to suffer the potential of data loss. It very rarely happens with Path Finder betas, but it's a possibility. It's pre-release quality, after all. So if you'll need to do frequent backups as you'll be playing with potentially buggy software.
3. You must be interested in contributing to the beta process. A lot of people join beta teams mainly because they want to use the most recent versions of software, but never contribute bug reports or suggestions. We really need people who have done beta testing before, or who are enthusiastic and interested in helping us make Path Finder even better.
4. This is only open to licensed Path Finder 4 users.
In return, the best we can offer is our thanks, and a spot in our About window. Oh, and the chance to use bleeding edge versions of Path Finder, too. :)
If after reading the above you're still interested, send me an email (help at cocoatech.com) with details on your system, your Path Finder 4 license information, and your beta testing qualifications (if any) and we'll talk.
Thanks, everyone!
Neil
