I've been reading practically all of the posts since the PF 4 release, and occasionally one of the posts will reference fixing/adjusting a particluar setting using Terminal. As such, I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good books/reference material/web site links on Terminal syntax. I would love to get more in to the "meat and potatoes" of the Terminal and how to use it.

I recommend Learning Unix for Mac OS X Tiger, from O'Reilly, although I don't own a copy. I've got the Panther version, and everything I've ever tried from the book still works in Tiger.
Mac OS X Hints (http://www.macosxhints.com) has a lot of helpful stuff, not just on unix/terminal stuff.
You can always fire up Terminal and type in man <commandname>, but to call the majority of the man entries cryptic is understatement.
Something I personally find handy is to write down anything I come across that sounds like it might be even vaguely handy.
