Bug: clicking an alias of NFS volume doesn't open new window

I am impressed with Path Finder 4.

I have trouble with two things though:

1) I cannot copy files to root-owned folders.

2) Double clicking an alias icon of an NFS-mounted network volume does not open up a window.

Am I missing something? I appreciate any help or comments.

1) has always been a PF issue...it can't do those root level operations, as they need to be "authenticated" - i just use the finder for this. for me, it doesn't happen often enough to be a huge sticking point, but if it's a major part of your workflow, i could see how it would become an issue.

Can it be somehow related with FTP aliases bug?

Someone having this issue here?
