I can set labels to files and folders but they do not appear within Path Finder. In Finder I can see them sometimes ... Labels set in the past set without Path Finder appear in the Application.
Very annoying - can you fix that? Using the same view as OSX for Labels when adding them gets you one click less too: directly add labels within the contextual mouse menu, not inside a submenu!
thanks

they basically work for me, but one problem i've had though is that sometimes it takes two trials to assign a label:
i've assigned a keystroke to "no label" as well as "blue" to mark/unmark stuff. sometimes i have to press the "blue" keystroke twice to actually set the label.
i had this problem in another account where the unsanity stuff is not installed (just used it to create screenshots).
anyway, in your case this might be the issue i noted where you have to assign a label twice for it to work? if it won't work at all it might be an issue with permissions (do you have write permission on the files?) or something else...
as a reference:
"label on name" looks like this:

"label on icon" looks like this:

i'm using labels x (http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/labels), which i have set to look like this (note i replaced (http://panic.com/candybar/) the generic folder icon with a white one so the labels show better):

On this machine it stays on "no label", everytime I give a label. But when I view the file/folder in finder, it HAS the label!! Cool :-(
Update: in File Informations on PF the label is set to the selected, correct label - but it still shows in the wrong, old, color. Is it a "refresh problem" of folders/files withing Pahtfinder4??

you are right, it seems to be a refresh issue. i just tried to assign a label to something with the shortcut i defined, and the label is not shown in PF. it is shown in Finder though.

Same problem here and I emailed support about it. Little strange how this could be happening. Something that will break or make my experience with this program!

Yup, this is a known issue. I'm sure it's an easy fix so we should have this all working fine in 4.0.1.

I have tested this and it is not fixed in version 4.0.1 Unless I am doing something wrong?

You're right, it's not yet fixed - same issue here too with 4.01 ... seems we have to wait for 4.02 ;-)
