i often open folders in Path Finder from within LaunchBar, and with tabs support in the new Path Finder v4 one can open those folders in new tabs instead of a new window when.
Requirements:
Setting the Path Finder "Reveal" preferences to "Reveal in new tab" AND pressing the command key together with the Enter key in LaunchBar when opening a folder. most excellent!
without the command key those folders open in a new Path Finder window.
Not much of a secret hint or anything, but maybe somebody finds it useful...

Yep, thanks boli. I just came across the same solution as I'm a LaunchBar-junkie and this is way cool. :D

The behavior of LaunchBar with respect to the "Reveal in new tab" feature is arguably "bug-like": revealing a file with LB reveals the file in a new PF tab, but revealing a folder with LB actually opens the folder in a new PF tab, while opening a folder with LB opens the folder in a new PF window. Revealing a package (including applications) with LB opens the package, i.e., it reveals the package contents.
With the PkgInfo hack in force, browsing the filesystem with OmniWeb and revealing files, folders, and packages by command-clicking on the title bar resulted in behavior similar to that of LaunchBar, i.e., files are revealed as expected in a new tab, revealing directories is weird.
Quicksilver behaves differently. Quicksilver does not appear to be respect the "Reveal in new tab" preference, but otherwise behaves as expected. Revealing a file from QS reveals the file in a new PF window. Opening a folder from QS opens that folder in a new PF window, i.e., reveals its contents. Revealing a package from QS reveals that package in a new PF window.
Put otherwise, QS treats PF like the Finder in spite of the reveal-preference, while LB respects the preference to use tabs but gives different results than it does with the Finder.
Actually, on my system, using the "Reveal in Path Finder" script from the toolbar in the Finder or the contextual menu item as well as the global hot key all do the same thing (reveals pkg contents, etc.). This happens regardless of whether new browsers are in icon, list, or column view, but does not happen if the preference is set to "existing window" or "new window."
