How do I undo "Alternative row color"?

I made a change which I am not now happy with , however i cannot change again.
How do i start over again for this preference

OK, I had the same problem in List view: I could set the alternate row color in Path Finder --> View --> Show Color Options, but they wouldn't show up.

Open a window & set it to List or Column, then hit cmd-J or Path Finder --> View --> Show View Options and click "Alternate row color."

Neilio, I think this might be something to look into: if you set an alternate row color, shouldn't it automatically select the show alternate row color option?
