I've been playing with Path Finder 4 for a bit, and so far it looks great, although I really wish that there was a way (or if there, is, that I can figure out how) to disable the Drop Stack. In the View menu, all I can apparently do is turn off the whole Shelf. I like the Shelf and the Volumes, but don't have any use for the Drop Stack now.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Sorry, but at the moment you can't turn off the Shelf. I'll add that to the list of change requests, however.

Thanks, that would be much appreciated.
From what I've seen so far, good job on PF4, guys. *goes back to playing with it*

I support more options for shelf customisability. It would be great to
be able to select which panes we want to show in the shelf, for example disabling the drop stack.

I never use drop stack either. It's confusing, particularly when you have external volumes mounted and want to copy between them. I messed some things up under v. 3 by trying to copy with it & actually ended up moving entire folders, files and applications. So I just do not use it.
This is one area where warning messages would be helpful. For example they can say "You are about to copy..." & "You are about to move...."
Yeah I agree about the drop stack... plus there seems to be no way to "undo" a move using the drop stack. I would love the option to either copy or move files using the drop stack. Perhaps implementing the ability to hold down the option key when dragging off the drop stack to just "copy" similar to finder's behavior between disks.
