View Full Version : Updating to 10.3.6 with PF replacing Finder

Has anyone tried this yet? I've been using PF instead of the Finder for about 6 months, and it's worked like a charm. I'm a little scared about installing a major update, though. I tried to reverse the replacement (go back to Finder for the update, and then switch back) but so far I can't get that to work.

Any success stories from the switchers? Horror stories?

If you modified the com.apple.loginwindow.plist in the user prefs, delete it. Quit PF and modify your startups to exclude PF, too, and do a restart. You should then be able to startup in the Finder.
