Being a lazy bum, I havn't installed Pathfinder, to see if it can jump to the last n folders, like Default Folder can.

Another feature of Default Folder (http://www.defaultfolder.com/) that eases my multi-folder/multi-disk/multi-server life, is the ability to jump to any window that is open in the finder desktop on the background, being in a save dialog window.

For example: In the finder you have found a photo you want to open in Photoshop. From within Photoshop you type CMD-O for Open, because you want to go to this folder, but it's not in your recent folders menu. With just clicking on the open window of your choice in the background, you can make the dialog window jump to it.

Can Pathfinder do this? Does it clash with Default Folder if it's installed?

Thanks,

Default Folder's "Point to folder" works just fine with Path Finder - I use both and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever.

Reading this brings up something interesting I found with Path Finder. Select a .tif file with the Preview drawer open and open that file in Photoshop. You cannnot re-save (overwrite) with the same name. Photoshop says the "file already already in use or left open". This doesn't happen with .psd files though.

Same kind of Alert happens when you save a photoshop.gif, drag it in an email, get second thoughts about the gif, adjust the photoshop file and try to save a new photoshop.gif file. Even though Mail is supposed to copy the file, not use the original, the finder will warn you with something like 'this file is in use and can't be overwritten'.

Can you step back to recent folders when you're about to save a file too, like in Default Folder?
