I recently installed the latest OSX security update 2004-09-07 1.1. Path Finder now quits unexpectedly at the end of the start-up process. Is this a known problem? Should I reinstall Path Finder? Any suggestions?
Regards.

I think the problem is actually the Stuffit 9 conflict - I'm running all of the latest security updates and haven't seen this problem. Have both of you installed Stuffit 9?
If so, we've been working with the Stuffit developer and there's a workaround that provides full functionality for both applications. Check out the post on the Allume web site:

Did you follow the procedure outlined by the Stuffit developer in the Allume forum that I linked to above?
Uninstalling Stuffit doesn't remove all traces of the application, so the offending item that's causing the conflict is probably still on your system. Just leave it installed, and delete the file as outlined above.

That solved the issue.
BTW, PF's a great product, and I am looking forward to its evolution.
