TODO List posting?

A suggestion not for the development of PathFinder, but in the interests of organization and reduction of repeated requests, would it be possible to have the TODO list posted online somewhere. Also, a little status by each item would be nice, but not required. You could also, maybe have a little description popup in a tiny window when you click the TODO item. I see other enhancements, such as user voting to determine enhancement priority, as well. The posibilities are endless, though I guess that means the work of putting together are too :wink:.

You could then post a sticky thread at the top of this forum reading "Consult the TODO list before posting a new request" that has a link to the TODO list in it.

At the very least you could create another forum called "TODO" where only admins can post a new topic, but users can still reply. Each entry would be a separate item on the TODO list and the post description could be a short description. Links to corresponding or related posts in the "Suggestion Box" forum could be added also, so as not to bring up old discussions again.

This is just a suggestion. I think it would organize things a little better.

We are planning to post a proposed roadmap for the next two-three versions of Path Finder, so that people can see the bigger changes that will be coming.

Often a lot of the smaller changes and bug fixes are rolled in as time permits, so it's difficult to give everyone a fairly stable idea of what will be coming... plus, as you know, once it's out in public people's expectations are set. We don't want to make promises that we can't keep. :)

After Path Finder 3.2 is released we will be sitting down and evaluating what will be on that list. I'll post back on the forums once we post it to our site.
