I think it's not necessary to show all available groups -- only those, that one is member of. That way is much easier to change group and at same time is less confusing -- no more questions like "why I can't change group", when wrong group is choosen (and person is not member of that group).

Attached image shows all available groups despite the fact, that I'm member of only 5 groups :)

It would be usefull to show info for multiple selection and not for individual item (maybe keyboard combination, since some ppl prefer that way). Image attached.

At same time there can be "Calculate" button to calculate size of selected items (folders, subfolders)

The only issue I see with not displaying all of the groups is if I am an administrator, I would like to be able to change the group to one of those only available to root. A possible workaround is to have a separate authentication "lock" button at the bottom of the get info window. By default you are logged in as yourself and only see groups that you are a member of. If you click the lock, you can authenticate as root or an administrator and see all groups. At the same time you could also show the other users you can switch ownership too.
