Hi, Shuka -
Sort by what, exactly?

How about sort by whatever options you've got checked on in List view: Name, size, mod/creation dates, kind, version, label, path (but this one's kind of pointless, IMO), access, owner, group, extension and, maybe, Finder labels and comments.
The reason I say by whatever's checked is that if it's importance enough to use, it'd probably important enough to see. Or, make a preference pane that can set what criteria you can sort by.

Greetings
PF allows one today to sort the column view by all kinds of file properties such as name, date created, etc. Now to do this one has to go to the View menu and change the sort criteria. What i want is the option to do it in a quicker way without going to a menu. Either by a right-click or as a tool in the toolbar. The toolbar option can also be used to show the user at all times what is the sort criteria.

This is coming in the next version of Path Finder (which just started internal beta testing). A public beta, which may not have this feature added yet will be available very, very soon.

An interim solution I currently use to quickly switch between the sorting attribute in column view is to assign function keys to the criteria sub menu items using the Set Menu Keys... command.
(I used F9 for Name, F10 for Date Modified etc.)
Regards, Christian.
