I am new to Path Finder and am interested in exploring how it could be turned into an outliner of outlines. One logical possibility is to talk an existing cocoa outliner into fitting in as a viewer plugin for their (or OPML) files.

Another is to explore companion utilities to see how far we can get with them.

I see that Fruitmenu, DragThing, CocoaGestures and DefaultFolder work with PF. How? Anything unique in the synergy among these?

Also, how can I get PF to automatically hide when it is not frontmost?

Can I put Konfabulator widgets on the PF desktop?

The main feature of the integration between PF and these applications is the fact that they can send select and folder open commands to both Apple's Finder as well as Path Finder. CocoaGestures works with Path Finder because it's a Cocoa application, and CG works with any Cocoa app.

This isn't possible at the moment, though I've added it to the to-do list.

Yup - I have a few running right now with no problems.
