NFS copying

We're using PathFinder on 10.3.2, Dual 2Ghz G5's with a Linux server running RedHat, and our connections are via NFS.

Copying to and from the server is unbearably slow using PathFinder GUI, but using either the PathFinder or Apple Terminal with the cp command and speedy copying is restored.

Any ideas, or is this going to be fixed in the next release?

I do know that Steve has been working on making Path Finder's copy abilities more efficient and streamlined, which should translate into better performance. The next version of PF (due in a few weeks, beta testers willing) will have these improvements rolled in.
