filtering the current window

When I use the search box, it searches the whole disk. Is it possible to set it up to fiter the current window aka the Finder?

The way that the search box in the file browser works right now is it searches recursively from the current selection. Good news, though - Search is being completely overhauled in the next version of Path Finder, due soon.
