I want to have more shelves on the left of the file window, as many as I want, and have them all be visible at once (Instead of only being able to see one user-defined shelf at a time, as currently.) I want to be able to move the individual shelves around... and to move the Volumes and Processes into the shelves right next to the file window, and to move the Drop Stack out to where the Volumes currently are, when the mood strikes me. I want to be able to move the Drop Stack to where the Trash is, and the Trash to where the Drop Stack is, and then move them back later.

I also want to be able to show the Volumes & Processes in a separate window as can currently be done, but NOT have it float on top when I switch to another application.

Thanks!

Yes, I like the idea of moveable shelves in one left hand column that include Volumes, Processes, Drop Stack and any various combination of shelves that a user wishes. Maybe this means integrating the current drawer with the current column. That way users could determine what they wanted and how they wanted it arranged. I personally could see having a Volume shelf (updatable of course) on top with a favorites shelf below and a Drop stack on the bottom.
Also, I have to admit that I do like the Finder'a way of not showing the path for items in the left column, but do show them for items in the tool bar. This seems to be faster for column folders where you don't care where they are, you just want to get to the contents quickly. Although I completely realize this runs contrary to the whole idea of "Path Finder" I think it might be nice as an option. I've come to realize that Path Finder is not just about doing things different than the Finder, it's about doing them so much better. I know that whatever is integrated into Path Finder Steve will find a much better way to do it!
