I would like to see the following feature...

I like to group files and folders on my desktop at certain places for certain categories. I want those groups to be placed on a grid like Apple does in it's Desktop. But with Pathfinder I can either snap to grid, but then it also sorts everything on the right side of my screen. Or deactivate sort but then I don't have snap. Could the combi be implemented?

Thankx,

It was also driving me a little batty trying to sort my desktop Icons the way I have them grouped with some king of Snap to Grid feature in Path Finder. Now I realize its all or nothing with Pathfinder.

Please allow for a simple snap to grid function in the Desktop. Otherwise I am just really digging the PathFinder Demo. Finally we have auto-refresh happening in open finder windows like in the OS9 Days.

The "snap-to-grid-but-don't-organize" option is on the to-do list, and might (might!) make it into the next release. No promises, though, but I just wanted to let you know that we know.

Thanks!

The same should be implemented on browser windows in icon view. I have a couple of folders that I like to keep in icon view with a custom sort. But again, PF would have to remember individual window configuration ;)
