Why a single click to open apps? Can it be changed?

I've downloaded the demo and am amazed at this program! And it takes alot to amaze a 41 year old whose been using Macs since 1985. But why do the applications in the "shelf" open on a single click. Grr, that's annoying if all you're doing is trying to get info. How do you change that so that it's a double click?

This and NoLimits Roller Coaster are two shareware must haves (as soon as my next weeks pay comes in). Shareware authors are really coming up with fantastic stuff these days. (Now only if there were a good shareware soccer game)

Edit addition: And is there a fast way to switch from shelf to shelf without clicking and using the pulldown menu? And what about re-ordering the shelf item order?

I think it's helpful that it's only one click.

So here's what you gotta do. If you want to open the app click on the icon. If you want to get info or browse thru its package contents clickon the text and not the icon.
