FTP initiated by safari

When I connect to an FTP server through Safari, Pathfinder should open the server.

What actually happens is that Pathfinder starts maxing out CPU usage, grabs application focus when I select another application and does not connect to the server.

What is wrong?

Steve will have to confirm this, but I believe PF doesn't support FTP calls from external applications ala Apple's Finder.

You must have edited the PkgInfo settings for Path Finder so that the system think it's the Finder, right? What happens for me when I test this is Apple's Finder launches and tries to open the FTP connection - PF doesn't try to open it.

Yes, I edited the package info.

Nevertheless, it would be nice if Pathfinder supported ftp, or at least allowed one to redirect ftp calls to somewhere else.
