Sorry for the snotty subject, but I posted a couple of legitimate questions three days ago and have gotten 1 response. Is this intended to be the primary support mechanism for this software?

I really like the software, and want to spend the money on it, but it will only be useful for me if I can use it as a replacement for the Finder -- but a couple of things keep me from being able to do that:

1. Desktop icons disappear when using Exposê's hide all function
2. Built-in compression engine creates .tgz files which are not natively readable in XP
3. Folders that are dropped on the dock launch the Finder when clicked, instead of Path Finder. (this is a new one, but I thought I'd throw it in for good measure).

Hey there -

You'll notice I answered your first question, about expose. I probably should add something to my signature to state that I'm "unofficial" cocoatech support - I help Steve out with support things, but I'm not the programmer... so I'm 1 for 2. Not great, but not the end of the world. :)

The answer to your second question will be resolved in a forthcoming release that's due "soon". For the third, the workaround for this is to use the Path Finder alias feature in the file menu to create Path FInder-specific aliases that open PF. These won't be recognized by Apple's Finder, but if you're using PF as a replacement for the finder, this isn't really an issue.

Sorry for the delay, but there's only two of us here, and I have a full-time job, so posting support questions here may lead to a delay in response time.

That reminds me that I should post a "where should I ask for support" FAQ...

Hope this helps!

Neil

Sorry, I haven't been posting much on the forums. I'm getting the next version ready, and have been a little overworked and burnt out. I'm getting better now, so I'll try to respond more often.
